Biography
Dave Williamson, CGA-CPA, is the CAO of North Eastern Manitoulin and the Islands. He was born and raised in Northern Ontario and has lived there his entire life. Dave lives with his wife of 40 years, Pamela, and they raised 3 children together. Dave is now enjoying sharing his love of Northern Ontario and his community with his three-year-old granddaughter.
Dave started his career working for the C.P.R in Chapleau, after which he worked in the insurance industry in Sudbury. He then spent 9 years mining in Elliot Lake where he ultimately ended his career as a Shift Boss. When the mines closed, he decided to continue his education and went on to obtain his CGA and work in the public sector.
This led him to teach post-secondary industry training and literacy, and he broadened his experience by
moving into the private sector as a consultant working across Northern Ontario. Dave then worked as a Manager for the Innovation Center in Sault Ste. Marie and ultimately, he returned to the Manitoulin Island
where he has focused on community development and economic growth for the past 14 years.
